Time for Foreign Investments in Cyprus?

Due to the economic recession in most countries , each country is seeking foreign and local investors in order to help rebuild its economy and provide jobs .Cyprus is a country with numerous schemes to attract this category of large -scale investors , but then what kind of investment can make a potential investor in Cyprus in order to make your sentence ?Real estate is at this point of time, for reasons known , unless investors have access to potential buyers and you can participate in the projects of golf and marina . But even these ( the latter in particular ) there are so many projects around that is difficult to sustain their attraction . As a course project (existing) in Paphos is expanding with another offer courses of 18 holes, plus the (first golf project ) existing unsold around 300 units, another 400 units for phase expansion / new and everything this, plus the numerous resales . This is one and there are 4 other golf projects with permission. Limassol marina is doing well , but then it is the first and only , that is in Limassol and its results can not be projected in a manner similar to the other two marinas and waiting ( in Paphos ) .
In our quest to identify any suitable investment opportunities in Cyprus , the only ones we came up is that projects based tourism and health / care and education spots .Tourism is on the rise , while future expectations are positive for high quality hotels on the beach. This new generation of hotels should be combined with spa , entertainment and conference facilities on a large scale with capacity of about 1,000 people. These hotels are best suited to Limassol and Paphos , unlike other areas , as people combine conference conference entertainment and as such places as Polis , Paralimni etc. are not top priority. Even hotels with some kind of facilities / golf links are not doing as well as can be expected with the golf connection .The water parks and theme parks is another option, but examination of the water parks , one has managed to survive , plus two whose financial results are not so clear . Another 2 which worked for a while closed. Theme parks need a lot of land in suitable areas that are not easily found in tourist places .Private health Hospitals are another option, especially for those who can provide the best brains and medical equipment , in order to attract our Arab neighbors . A connection to an Israeli hospital that is in a way that can attract some of the more than 200 000 . Arab residents , as well as other countries. The equivalent cost of care must nevertheless marked . More successful heart of the local hospital , for example , is charging more or less the same as a German hospital specialist . So is there a future for this (not to mention free government hospitals - either with a lot of failures ) ?Higher education is another option usually a branch of a European university also has to consider not so much to meet local needs , but the Middle East and the Far East. The grades indicated must be equivalent and the fees charged are much less to make it competitive .Sports centers are another option to take advantage of the good weather . A Sports established that will also include football , tennis, swimming , gymnastics , etc. , to cooperate with local authorities and the use of existing dams for sailing, canoeing and other water sports can be a year-round operation , attracting foreign teams for training. The recent success of a Russian company to establish a sailing school in Paphos is a start , as expected dive investments ( be ) on the island .Using the old airport of Larnaca or Paphos airport used under training aircraft / pilots could be another , depending on local costs in connection therewith , abroad .There must be another , but whatever you decide to adopt , funding is the main problem, as local funding is not available and incoming foreign investors should have their funding in place. Another problem is the bureaucracy that takes too long . Although the Government has initiated a process of "fast track" , the weather is still a problem - see Qatar agreement Mall Larnaca, the Congresses Palace Alamanos Russia and many others who were due to lack of time. We have an attitude somewhat problematic , as people, we are afraid. A more recent example is the old port of Limassol , which is developing a port " fishing / entertainment" , but due to a couple of the buildings block the view of the ocean ( where? ) There is a lot of discussion to demolish and thus placing the entire project. We hope that now that we are " poor" , let's put some kind of sense in our heads and we could forget some of our peculiar behaviors .The end of the mandate of this government , hopefully , open the door of the casino and other investments and a more liberal approach to such matters . Time is not with us , we are afraid and other countries more or less the same economic situation as ours are seeing and talking to the limited international investors have left
